Diploma in Elementary Education

The diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two year professional programme of teacher education. It aims to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education, i.e. classes I to VIII. The aim of elementary education is to fulfill the basic learning needs of all children in an inclusive school environment bridging social and gender gaps with the active participation of the community.

PREAMBLE

The diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is a two year professional programme of teacher education. It aims to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education, i.e. classes I to VIII. The aim of elementary education is to fulfill the basic learning needs of all children in an inclusive school environment bridging social and gender gaps with the active participation of the community.

Duration

The D.El.Ed. programme is of a duration of two academic years. However, the students shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of three years from the date of admission to the programme.

D.El.Ed. : Eligibility

Interested aspirants for this course are required to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

• Completed 10+2 from a recognized board
• Above 50% marks of equivalent at 10+2 level
• Minimum age 17 years as on 01st Jan. of the year of admission.
• Minimum age 17 Years as on 01st Jan. of the year of admission.

D.El.Ed. Admission Process

Admission in this course will be done on the Merit-cum-Choice basis of Computer Based Common Entrance Test to be conducted by Bihar School Examination Board, Patna every year.

Documents Required at The Time Of Admission:

• Mark Sheet and Certificate of 10th and 12th
• Residence Proof like Voter Id Card, Aadhar Card or Ration Card Copy or any other
• Properly Filled Admission Form with your photograph.
